Assignment Rationale

  • The first assignment I want to highlight is Rhetorical Devices: Namecalling and bandwagon. I think this assignment highlights my strengths in writing. The reason why I say this is because I feel like I did the assignment perfectly. My examples were close to what was asked for and for related to our day-to-day lives. My analysis and explanation were also very concise and specific
  • The second assignment I want to highlight is another Rhetorical Device: Hypophora and Rhetorical Questions. Once again, I feel as though I met the requirements for this assignment. My examples met the requirements and they were also original
  • The third assignment I want to highlight is yet another rhetorical device: Fear appeal and Humor Appeal. I tried to use examples that were related to my day to life. So things that I found frightening or funny as a kid. That would be the smoking commercials and STATEFARM commercials.
  • The last assignment I want to highlight is Rhetorical Devices: Analogy and Allusion. This was the longest and the most complicated assignment. I’m really proud of the examples I’ve come up with and also concerned with the amount of time it took it took for me to finish this assignment
